I just bought the Xiaomi induction cooker and was generally pleased with it's functionality, despite having no instruction manual in English. That said, after only one day of operation, it failed. I found the problem was with the plug adaptor that was sent with it. As a qualified electronic engineer, I can say that the adaptor is unfit for use and extremely dangerous and could cause a fire. I also noticed a comment on another web site where someone else had the exact same problem. Anyway, I've replaced the defective plug/adaptor combination with the correct Australian plug. Now everything works great. Please supply me with some instructions that will allow me to use some of the other modes of operation. At least an email with a diagram showing what the Chinese characters mean in English would help in the interim. Thankyou, for an otherwise great product - I'd really like to be able to use it.

I finally managed to get the temperature control working. This is nor described in the user manual and should use a trick. There is a possibility in the application to define custom modes in the application, and as soon as you press to create a new one there is an option to choose between power and temperature setting and then set the cooking time. This can be stored as a new custom mode. I would have preferred an option to switch between power and temperature adjustment and be able to just select temperature with rotating the knob. There is however limitations which again I do not understand why they did it like that. The temperature can be set in 5 degree increments between 40-80 and 110-190 deg. C. They claim that the sensor in the middle is very precise, I believe it should be under 1 degree precision. If that is the case, than it is only a matter of programming to be able to set any value to be kept between 40-190 in 1 degree increments. I think they have to improve the SW, to get out all the possibilities from the cooker.

I have got several induction cookers, but the problem with them is that they work just as a normal stove, adjusting the power and not the temperature level. I was happy finding this device claiming that have 99 power setting for a few different functionalities. I was interested in the slow cooking, simmering. In this function it should have kept the dish temperature on any of value between 85-150 degree Celsius. Since the settings are not in temperature values, I though I would measure the temperature for certain settings, to match the numbers from 1-99 to temperature values. I started with the lowest, 1 setting. I put an empty cast iron plate and measured with a laser meter. The middle button that is pressed down supposed to be a temperature sensor that would help keeping the temp on a certain level based on the setting. In this function it should have been for sure below 100 because that is what we call simmering (cooking below 100 d.Celsius) If it was temperature controlled it should have kept on the certain (lower than 100) temperature but it never stopped the heating, just switching on rarely an off, as any induction cooker would do on low setting. At 200 deg C it was still heating when I have switched it off. So it works as any other induction cooker but 4 times the price. There is no temperature control. BTW, it is an international version, with English menu and manual.

I bought it in Singapore. Downloaded and installed Mijia app on my iPad Pro 11". Could not find this induction cooker under device selection thus there is no way to set up WiFi connection on the cooker. Then within the app, I switch country to China and language locale to Chinese (I understand both Chinese/English) and this induction cooker suddenly appear under device selection, all WiFi parameters are set automatically by default and all I have to do is to save the setting in the app. Everything work fine when country is set to China and language is set to Chinese. What Xiaomi have to do in the app is simply translate Chinese into English for all menu options and make sure other countries share the same setting as country China. Then regardless of country/language settings, everything should work fine. Right now the cooker always connected to my home WiFi once powered up and I can control it on my iPad Pro without issue.

I'm impressed, I've bought it and I'm still impressed, but very disappointed that you and your vendors have pages full of information in English and you don't mention that the instructions and the display are in Chinese only.
