I found a way out and wanted to share with you. You first need to set your location as chine mainland. Then, you power it on and you open the app. You select add new device, you select the induction cooker and it tells you to press the 2 buttons simultaneously for 5 secs. After that, in the screen there is next, but you cannot press it before you select this step is complete, on the bottom. You add that and then you add the credentials of your wireless. Then is connected. I changed the language to chinese again, because you can manage your device only using the app in chinese. I added that and with another phone and google translate, searched if there were any firmware upgrades and then again to english. Now is connected in my wifi, but dont know what do to with it. I just hope to have some data from it. In chinese you are able to select when to power it and which mode by the app... cheers

No way to connect the induction cooker to the app via wifi I use Xiaomi Home app last version version 5.6.6 China server If I do scan of device app does not found anything If I try manual connection selecting both the induction cooker no result If I scan wifi NW I see the SSID chunmi-ihcooker-exp1_miap6d0e and I'm able to connect to the hot spot but than the app dose not recognize the device from below comment using the app is the only way to enable temperature control and not just power control any suggestion or idea ?? thanks Davie

What is the best setting to cook rice in this? I set it to Steam/Boil and the lowest power (1). But it beeps and displays an icon of a pot and some Chinese text for some reason.

Guys, this is an extremely well designed product but you need to update the firmware so that instructions and settings work in English! You would be making money hand over fist in Anglophone markets with this temperature controlled induction burner and enough sensors and smarts to handle most cooking needs. Make it native for English speakers!

No English instructions. So now I have an error code showing E07 and cannot read the translation to know what to do to correct it. This is very bad. The cooker was working fine, then I got this error, now am unable to know what to do. The company probably does not want to sell them anywhere but in China? I will not advise anyone to buy this machine unless it has a manual, instructions, in ENGLISH. I would appreciate any help the company can give. Bob

I just bought the Xiaomi induction cooker and was generally pleased with it's functionality, despite having no instruction manual in English. That said, after only one day of operation, it failed. I found the problem was with the plug adaptor that was sent with it. As a qualified electronic engineer, I can say that the adaptor is unfit for use and extremely dangerous and could cause a fire. I also noticed a comment on another web site where someone else had the exact same problem. Anyway, I've replaced the defective plug/adaptor combination with the correct Australian plug. Now everything works great. Please supply me with some instructions that will allow me to use some of the other modes of operation. At least an email with a diagram showing what the Chinese characters mean in English would help in the interim. Thankyou, for an otherwise great product - I'd really like to be able to use it.

I finally managed to get the temperature control working. This is nor described in the user manual and should use a trick. There is a possibility in the application to define custom modes in the application, and as soon as you press to create a new one there is an option to choose between power and temperature setting and then set the cooking time. This can be stored as a new custom mode. I would have preferred an option to switch between power and temperature adjustment and be able to just select temperature with rotating the knob. There is however limitations which again I do not understand why they did it like that. The temperature can be set in 5 degree increments between 40-80 and 110-190 deg. C. They claim that the sensor in the middle is very precise, I believe it should be under 1 degree precision. If that is the case, than it is only a matter of programming to be able to set any value to be kept between 40-190 in 1 degree increments. I think they have to improve the SW, to get out all the possibilities from the cooker.

I have got several induction cookers, but the problem with them is that they work just as a normal stove, adjusting the power and not the temperature level. I was happy finding this device claiming that have 99 power setting for a few different functionalities. I was interested in the slow cooking, simmering. In this function it should have kept the dish temperature on any of value between 85-150 degree Celsius. Since the settings are not in temperature values, I though I would measure the temperature for certain settings, to match the numbers from 1-99 to temperature values. I started with the lowest, 1 setting. I put an empty cast iron plate and measured with a laser meter. The middle button that is pressed down supposed to be a temperature sensor that would help keeping the temp on a certain level based on the setting. In this function it should have been for sure below 100 because that is what we call simmering (cooking below 100 d.Celsius) If it was temperature controlled it should have kept on the certain (lower than 100) temperature but it never stopped the heating, just switching on rarely an off, as any induction cooker would do on low setting. At 200 deg C it was still heating when I have switched it off. So it works as any other induction cooker but 4 times the price. There is no temperature control. BTW, it is an international version, with English menu and manual.

I bought it in Singapore. Downloaded and installed Mijia app on my iPad Pro 11". Could not find this induction cooker under device selection thus there is no way to set up WiFi connection on the cooker. Then within the app, I switch country to China and language locale to Chinese (I understand both Chinese/English) and this induction cooker suddenly appear under device selection, all WiFi parameters are set automatically by default and all I have to do is to save the setting in the app. Everything work fine when country is set to China and language is set to Chinese. What Xiaomi have to do in the app is simply translate Chinese into English for all menu options and make sure other countries share the same setting as country China. Then regardless of country/language settings, everything should work fine. Right now the cooker always connected to my home WiFi once powered up and I can control it on my iPad Pro without issue.

I'm impressed, I've bought it and I'm still impressed, but very disappointed that you and your vendors have pages full of information in English and you don't mention that the instructions and the display are in Chinese only.
