The long-awaited flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi4 has finally been released. According to the manufacturer’s words, the product was called “the world's fastest smartphone to date”.
It is already known that the model is equipped with 5-inch FullHD-display by Sharp or JDI with the resolution of 1080 pixels. The product supports the OGS technology (one glass solution) that means use of one glass instead of two. As a result the picture quality is considerably higher; the color rendition is significantly more accurate; the image is brighter and the viewing angle is really wider.
The display is surrounded with a thin frame that adds some elegance to the smartphone’s design. The manufacturer compares this device with HTC M8, Galaxy S4 and Ascend P7 with the same display diagonal size.
Considering the hardware specifications, the Xiaomi Mi4 has an impressive hardware. The smartphone is based on the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with a clock frequency of 2.5 GHz and 3 GB RAM LPDDR3. The data storage has two options: 16 GB or 64 GB (32 GB is not supported). The device uses the eMMC 5.0 memory standard.
Although the Xiaomi Mi4 is not equipped with SD memory slot, it has a number of other interfaces such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and GPS/GLONASS.
As a power supply the lithium-polymeric accumulator on 3080 mAh is used.
The Xiaomi Mi4 is equipped with two cameras: the rear 13 MP camera and the front-facing camera of 8 MP.
It should also be noticed that the smartphone uses the modules produced by Sony.
The gadget operates on the basis of the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and the last version of a MIUI 6 firmware.
The housing of the smartphone contains a plastic cover and some metal elements in the frame around the screen.
